Meet yOur Trainers!
Sarah Taylor is the president of Fitness By Sarah Taylor, Personal Trainer, Former Miss Plus Canada, Plus Size Model, Blogger and Motivational Speaker.
I’m a travel enthusiast and a body positive advocate. Being active, especially while travelling, is important to me, but as the years ticked by sports and athletics became more difficult, and I started to dread it. Society made me believe that because I was plus sized there was no place for me at the gym or in the fitness industry. As a fitness coach in a plus sized body, my journey to self-acceptance and love came with the help of many influential people in my life, and I want to inspire others to do the same!
Hello my name is Shelley! I am guided daily by my core values. "Be helpful, be gracious, be respectful, be genuine, be honest, have fun, make a difference." I have been coaching women for over 25 years on how to be financially fit and I am happy to say that over the past year my coaching skills have expanded to include the physical, nutritional, and mental aspect of fitness. As a Fit Chicks Academy graduate, my goal is to provide a holistic approach to fitness to equip women with all the tools they need on life's journey.
Keep Moving, Keep Smiling

I have been in love with music and dance for as long as I can remember. Ever since I was a child, anytime I heard music, I was moving to it, singing to it (terribly might I add) and matching the emotions of it (and boy do I have a lot of emotions!) Music and dance were always my safe spaces to be openly accepting and expressive of myself in all of my imperfections; it was for me and by me and to this day, nothing brings such pure joy out of me, than music and dancing. Throughout the years, I have danced jazz, tap, ballet and hip hop - working toward performances; and socially, I now dance salsa, bachata and kizomba. Several of those years were faced with destructive difficulties and I have come to understand how the things that make you feel alive, are the things that heal you and help you grow; it turns out, that music and dance are also my therapy. My classes are based on positive energy and motivation, and challenging your own personal, mental, and physical limits in a fun, supportive and judgement free atmosphere.
